I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Awesome Phil ! I see you have that 7D singing again. I just advised someone to consider the
300 f4 instead of the the 400 5.6 or the 100 -400. I told him you were getting results that matched my 400 2.8.
Of course whats behind the camera has a lot to do with the results. Great to see a mature bird hanging out. I was
able to shoot some mature spoonies down in Florida back in March. Good stuff!
Is that 7D one or 7D two that you were cranking up. Great shots. I remember some guy on the Hog knocking the 300 lens, and how you kind of went after him, I love it when a pro knows his equipment and some jerk off sounds off, does my heart good. Another good job my friend, always looking to the next day shooting event………glad your feeling better Phil……….untle next time…
The 7D II isn’t out yet so I’m still rocking the regular four and a half year old 7D, and I’m still very happy with it and the 300 with the 1.4 is a great combo.
Thanks very much for checking these out and I’m happy you enjoyed seeing our pink friend!
Oh Wow Phil, these are tremendous, and in breeding colors too. Wow. I do hope they stay around, a perhaps this is an indication they could be breeding closer to us. Wouldn’t that be something. I am glad to see you are over being sick and back at it again. Cudos…… 🙂
This time I remembered to be notified of your post via email. 🙂
Thanks very much for checking these out Kathy and I’m really happy you enjoyed them!
He was still around today. Will he stay and might some friends show up? We hope so!
