I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Hello!! These White Egret pictures are just gorgeous…super beautiful detail on the birds and their fishy prey!! Super, super job!! You have to visit the Florida Keys so you can shoot the magnificent Great White Herons too!!
Hi Judy! Well I greatly appreciate you checking out my photos and your very kind comments!
I would love to visit the Keys and see a GWH! That would be a huge treat for me!
Thanks,
Cheers

Hi Phil,
I really enjoyed looking through your superb swamp images. A freind sent the link to me as I am fondly known by my freinds and collegues as the swamp lady.
I am amazed at how well you’ve managed close ups of some of these birds. Some of the antics they get up to made me laugh out loud. You must have a third eye to watch out for alligators.
I love swamps. I have 500mm sigma and complain that it is not “fast” enough, but when I looked at the exif information and see what you capture I can see it may be me that’s not fast enough!
Hope you and your swamp prosper well.

Hi Jo,
Thank you so much for your visit here and also for your very kind words about my photos! I am glad you enjoyed seeing the birds and that you also love seeing the swamp residents especially the alligators. We often have them get rather close but we are fortunate that the gators are not aggressive toward humans. They would prefer to not be involved with poeple very much. A good idea all around.
I use a Canon 300 f4 with a 1.4 extender for almost all photos you see here and I have been very happy with that combo.
Thanks again,
Cheers,
