I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
looks like the “croc didn’t fair too well.
Hi Janet, sorry I didn’t see your comment earlier. Yes the Croc was quite beat beat up but eventually emerged relatively unscathed as the alligator gave up on it and let the shoe live on. 🙂
Funny shot for sure. Love all your photographs you have posted. (Looked at everything posted from August 31 back). Thank you for share your gift and talent with the world.
Well thanks so much Ginny for your kind comments and a I truly appreciate you checking out my blog and all the wildlife photos!
My first visit here. I like your super shots and your sense of humor.
Well I really appreciate your visit Joe and I’m glad you have been enjoying the photos and stories!
Croc v. Gator…Gator wins!
I’m still on the floor laughing……..you got me……I opened the post excitedly looking for some really wild fight……great sense of humor!!!
Thanks very much Janet, I’m glad you got big laugh out of this series! I had a lot of fun with it.
The photos were picked up by the NY Daily News, MSM, The UK Sun News and Telegraph etc. and went viral worldwide.
These are THE BEST photos ever! I just laughed ’til I cried. Even Ted giggled! I want to frame this series and hang them in my house. This just made my day!
I’m really happy you got a laugh out of these. This is one of my all time favorite photo series ever and these pics really did go viral and went all over the world. And guess what?! I *have* that Croc shoe in my possession! The alligator rather quickly spit it out that evening when I took those pics and I went back to the marsh the next day, saw that Croc shoe still floating around out there and managed to get hold of it and pull it in. It’s now a priceless artifact! 😀
If you want I can send you these pics in a size to make prints. Let me know.
Haha! I would love for you to send me the pics! I will message you now. These truly rock!
Fantastic! So so funny! I clicked on the heading thinking it was actually going to be an Alligator & a ‘real’ Croc fighting it out… I cracked up when I saw these! 🙂
Well I really appreciate you looking and commenting, thanks much and so glad you liked these Gator vs. Croc photos! 😉
Hi! My mother told me how much she loved the “Alligator vs Croc” photo in your anniversary post. She said she would really like to put the photo up in her office. I thought maybe I had gotten a postcard of it, but I don’t see one in the stack I purchased at HBSP gift shop. I noticed above that you offered to send a fellow-admirer the files to be able to print the 4 shots. I was wondering if you would be willing to do that for me, too, or if you would tell me how I could buy the 4 photos. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
Carol I would be happy to send you the images that would be suitable to make prints with my compliments.
Just drop me a note at email@example.com when you get a chance. 🙂
I saw the title and thought, “Great – maybe I’ll be able to figure out the difference between a gator and a croc…” Yes, your shots made it absolutely clear!!! CROCS could use this in an advertisement; did they approach you for one yet???
