Another Day With Mom And Baby Alligators

These are from yesterday morning in the swamp.  Pic #1 The babies are all nestled together waiting for mom.  Pic #2 Mom’s arrival. Pic #3 The brood spots mom and gets all excited!  Pic #4 Mom has moved into her spot,  notice the two baby heads in front of mom’s nose.  Pic #5 Mom heard or saw something she didn’t like.  If you look through and past mom’s wide open yap, you can see a baby in the background.  Pic #6 Mom is starting to calm down and a baby has crawled onto her back.

  1. There are six! More than I previously thought! Phil and Alyce, do you know of a really really big gator on the same side of the swamp….he’s at least 15 feet long. He went by us really really slowly….floating like an island….it looked like he had moss and water lilies growing out of his back….not just duck weed for this guy!

    • I have a photo where I can make out 7 little baby faces for sure and a possible tail that we can not trace back to an owner.
I don’t know that we have seen big bubba out there. Must be an old boy. We will keep an eye out for him.
Thanks again for checking out the site!
