Brief Visit By A Roseate Spoonbill
Last week this one Roseate Spoonbill made an appearance in the marsh to everyone’s surprise and delight.
By the next day it was gone. I only had the opportunity for these quick grab shots before spoonie departed the area.
Earlier in the summer we had a group of six arrive, but they also did not stay long.
We maintain hope that one or more of these colorful and entertaining birds will return before the fall season has them heading farther south.

These have always been one of my favorite birds. You do such an amazing job of capturing them in all their glory!
Thanks so much Molly they are one of my favorites too! I always am thrilled to have even a short time to watch them and it’s always a bonus if I am able to come back with some photos.
I wish that I was there Phil to see this beautiful bird. You have a knack of being in the right place at the right time. Thanks for these beauitful photos.

Hi Jane, thanks for looking but I don’t see your comment. Please try again. 🙂
I think these guys are my favorites. They are so pretty!
They are a real favorite of mine as well. When the spoonies show up, nobody works or does anything, we all just go watch them. 🙂
