Lurking In Dark Water…
Recently I saw this alligator drifting slowly into a small cove area of the swamp marsh.
As it got further in, the water and the lighting both got darker.
However there was still just enough late evening sunlight coming through to light the area around Mr. Gator’s face and prevent him from being totally hidden in the dark water.

I got photos yesterday of an alligator crunching a nice blue crab that it caught. I’ll have to post those at some point.

I nearly caught a gator trying to nab a turtle… But I couldn’t get me camera in time; I hadn’t seen the action. (He missed the turtle, strangely.) But I do have a momma & her 2-wk-old babies all over her head, I need to upload… 🙂
