  1. What a lovely way to welcom October the great, just around the corner, in less than 2 hrs in good old Germany.
Phil, your photography is too beautiful for words, it moves me deeply.o

    • Hey that’s right you folks in beautiful Germany get a head start on Oct.
I’m so happy to know you enjoy seeing my photos!
That would please me tremendously and I’d certainly be honored if you wanted to present my photos on your blog at some point. 🙂
Have a great evening Dina and talk to you in Oct. 😉
      Cheers
      Phil

  2. I am just in love with the spoonbills. We used to have a spoonbill rookery smack in the middle of Galveston Bay – but that was decades ago, long before Hurricane Alicia cut through the island in ’83. I suppose the birds were gone by about the 70s.

These shots are marvelous. I’ve never seen wood storks, at least that I know. They’re beautiful! And those silly great blues really unfold into something spectacular, don’t they?

    • Yes the spoonies are a real favorite of mine. We drop everything to try to get pics if even one of them shows up!
The wood storks have a face only a mother could love but they are quite elegant flyers.
Thanks for checking out the flight photos!

    • Thanks very much, I appreciate your kind comments greatly! I’m glad you enjoy the bird flights! I usually try to get them with a tree, marsh grass, or water background rather then open blue sky, but sometimes I have no choice if that’s where they are. 🙂

  3. Oh, you got mountain of such exquisite photos!
While in the mountain, I met number of wildlife photographers, and learning from them
I decided to stick to Alpine flora as they don’t fly or run away 😀 😀

    • Hey thanks a lot for the kind words I appreciate it!
Funny comment about the Alpine flora, you are correct, those will not suddenly jump up and fly away on you. 🙂 😯
