Just Because You Miss Doesn’t Mean You Quit
A few days ago I saw this osprey hit the water in the marsh pond but when it came up I saw it missed the fish on this attempt. But that osprey was not to be deterred, it did one tight loop around and was quickly right back at it hovering above the water searching for the next opportunity.
Flügel wie ein Engel ♥
Vielen Dank. Ich mag, dass Gedanken, Engelsflügel 😀
Engelsflüge hört sich supertoll an! 🙂
Ich liebe es!
🙂 🙂 Die deutsche Sprache ist schön, nicht wahr?
Es ist wirklich sehr schön. 🙂
Du verblüffst mich. I’m impressed..
Oh MY God! You are amazing dear Phil, he seems great, what a moment you captured. Thank you, it is always so exciting to follow your posts 🙂 Love, nia
Thank you Nia, I’m very happy you liked these osprey photos!
You have to admire that type of determination … and yours to keep getting these shots.
I really have to give the osprey credit when it does catch a nice fish and an eagle steals but the osprey goes right back to work. Hopefully for them, disappointment and despair are not natural instincts.
Gorgeous.
Thanks a bunch Sophie, I appreciate you looking and commenting.
That’s the most determined osprey I’ve seen on here yet. I almost was afraid to look it in the eyes! That first photo is my favorite.
He was quite determined and that first one is my fave to. I almost just went with that as a single but decided, what the hell, stick a few more in there.
Sei incredibile Phil, le tue foto sono più che meravigliose, non manchi mai un colpo. Complimenti!!
Ciao, Pat

I like, I share ♥
Merci Jean-Paul!
Absolutely amazing series, Phil. That first one is really awesome, and he’s looking right at you. 😯
Thank you Sylvia and yes he is giving me a look for sure!
Impressive… on the first two pics the osprey looks really angry…
I believe he is rather upset over missing the fish.
These are stunning shots!
Well I appreciate that very much, thank you!
Wow, beautiful photos! Amazing wings and feathers!!
I’m so glad you liked these osprey photos Deb, thanks!
Persistent, no? Very beautiful captures Phil.
Thank you very much, I’m always happy for any opportunity to photograph these birds and glad you enjoy seeing the pics.
These are stunning pictures Phil! Those eyes – mesmerising!
I appreciate your very kind comments Maggie and I’m very happy you liked the osprey photos!
Only one word for this gallery – WOOoOoOooOOow!
Well I greatly appreciate that, thanks much!
Those eyes! So focused. Great detail showing the bird’s intent. I’m glad I was not a fish that day. 2nd photo reminds me of the Osprey hovering aircraft.
He really does have some intense eyes. Good for him though, he needs to spot those fish. Although he did not catch a fish on this attempt, he came up with two fish on one other dive. Shots of that upcoming… 🙂
I hope that evil eye deterred the eagle from stealing any catch (doubtful, I suspect)! You’d think the Osprey might figure out some deterrence for the thieving eagle.
Another stunning set Phil.
Terrific action shots.
