“Stop! Don’t Look At Me!”
Recently I was watching this egret fishing in the salt marsh and at one point he struck at the water but came up empty on that attempt.
He must’ve been particularly embarrassed that I witnessed the unfortunate scene because he ducked down his head and used his wing to shield his face from any further humiliating photos.

Fun images, Phil.

Yeah Steve those egrets can be a little goofy at times.

That’s an impressive wing to be showing off while hiding its face! Great shots as always.

Thanks and that’s what I said to him… nice wing. 🙂
He did not seem especially appreciative of my compliment however.

Now that you mention it, you are somewhat of a peeping Phil…. them birds and Mr A don’t get now privacy whatsoever… 😀

I have to admit I believe you are on to something there. Although they (especially Mr. A) may appreciate when I show them at their best, I also seem to be there to capture moments they would prefer remained private. Oh well, that’s the way it goes, they have to take the good with the bad when I’m around. 🙂

He’s probably got quite a complex now. Does he know that you show us what a bad fisher-bird he is? Love the wing pic. 🙂

I try to keep him in the dark whenever I post less then complimentary photos of him. Same goes for the alligators as you can imagine. 🙂

Do you ever feel like you are one of the paparazzi? Superstars need their privacy too (but I love the fact that you are willing to keep on shooting). Should we expect to see your photos in National Enquirer?

I do feel like a bit of a snoop out there at times Mike, that’s for sure. But then again the wildlife is happy when I make them look good so they usually put up with me. 🙂
