Jump Off
Here is our recent spoonbill visitor jumping off from out of the salt marsh on one of the last sightings I had of him. We haven’t seen the spoonie for over a week now and it’s likely he’s left the area. Typically we get some pink arrivals at the end of June or early July, but we remain hopeful that this very brightly colored bird will return even sooner.
Fabulous colour and the most perfect timing! Excellent work
Thank you! Glad you liked seeing our pink friend!
Che stupendo colore rosa e che scatto incredibilmente bello!!
Ciao, Pat

I’m glad you enjoyed the spoonie photo!
Enjoyed all of them Phil 🙂
What a great pose – those pink feathers are perfect.
Something about a pink bird that makes me want to keep taking photos. Glad you liked seeing our pink friend!
This is great, Phil. The wing position, dripping water and the wonderful color make for a super image.
I’m very happy you enjoyed this spoonbill shot Steve!
What a graceful bird that is! Awesome timing Phil.
Thanks very much for checking this out Gracie!
Is it my imagination, or did that bird become more deeply coloured while he was with you this spring? Lets hope he comes back but I suspect he’s desperate to find a girl … 🙂
This was the brightest and deepest pink spoonbill we have ever had in our marsh. This was taken in early evening when the setting sunlight really warmed him up even more. But could be all the shrimp he ate that added to his pinkness.
I think he was getting lonely without any hot pink chicks around. 🙂
Fantastic as ever…. the color and the detail and the pose ain’t bad either.
Thanks a million, glad you enjoyed this shot!
What a stunning action photo, Phil – and the colour of this spoonie is out of this world!
He really was the brightest and deepest color pink of any spoonbill we ever had here. Fun birds!
Stunning!!!
Hey thanks for looking Amy!
Beautiful….like a geisha’s fan dance.
This bird is a real show stopper, and traffic stopper too. 🙂
