Woody’s New Friend?
A wood stork was busy feeding in the salt marsh when a potential new friend came gliding into the scene. Woody seemed more interested in catching a meal though then making a new friend. I thought the alligator looked quite friendly but I suppose it could be considered rude to just drop in unannounced during dinner. The gator eventually just kept right on swimming by after realizing he wasn’t wanted!
…. 🙂
Thanks for looking Nia. 🙂
Funny seeing an alligator getting the brush off from a wood stork!
I know. That alligator got totally blown off by the wood stork. Woody was so not impressed.
Live and let live. 🙂 Great story, Phil.
Usually the gators get a bit more respect, but old Woody treated our gator friend rather poorly. Oh well, that’s the way it goes.
Great capture.
I’m glad you enjoyed this photo.
Amazing capture Phil. The life that you observe in the marsh is truly incredible.
Thanks a million Emily, so glad you liked this shot.
I love this! Woody just keeps on fishing but that is a very watchful eye he has on the intruder
I thought Woody might be more interested in the new arrival but he did not seem to be in the mood to make the effort to pay attention.
I’m really enjoying the continuing interplay between birds and alligators… RH
Hey thanks very much, I’m happy to know you are enjoying the views of life in the marsh.
They can live harmony in the river, amazing… Cool capture, Phil!
Sometimes they all get along just fine. If the alligators are getting enough fish and stuff they won’t bother the birds much. Thanks for checking this out.
Great photo! Friend or next meal?
Thanks! And it could turn out either way!
Good the gators don’t like feathers. Always a nice photo op in your swamp, I like the gator gliding through the reflection. Good timing Phil.
Thanks a bunch I appreciate the kind comments.
now this is composition at it’s finest – opposites attract could be the title 🙂
Thanks Scott and I like your title idea.
