I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Early this morning a juvenile tricolored heron just missed clipping an egret in the head with his wing as he flew by.
It can be dangerous out there in the marsh pond…even when a guy is just standing around minding his own business!
Love the action you captured…Really great photos.
I greatly appreciate you checking these out Charlie and I’m happy you enjoyed seeing these guys in action.
Well the Tri was in action anyway… 🙂
That was definitely an “Ooops” moment!
These guys are fun to watch, you never know what might happen next.
Thanks for looking Maggie!
Thanks, glad you liked these photos.
Very close! Love the motion of the wings — and the height of the big guy!
That egret does look nice and tall and sort of comical standing there still watching the little tri zip by! 🙂
It’s hard to judge when there’s a neck that long! Imagine what giraffe’s get.
Good point. That long neck must skew the view (to coin a phrase) and I expect giraffes must learn to be quicker duckers. 🙂
