I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Just a few flight shots from this weekend…
A great egret on Friday, a brown pelican on Saturday, and a great blue heron today. 🙂
They are all magnificent.
Thanks for the kind words!
The detail in all of these is incredible! I love the warm color in the pelican shot & the amber reflection on the water.
Thanks a million ‘Vicky, glad you enjoyed seeing these flight shots.
Beautiful work. The wing position and mastery of the lighting on the Great Egret is pretty special.
Hey thank you Nick, I’m thrilled you enjoyed the flight photos!
I agree with Nick. That egret shot is certainly something special. Looks like their flights are far more pleasant than the humans flying home from their holiday weekend.
It was a lot more peaceful and quiet then our local airport that’s for sure. 🙂
Wonderful shots! The first is specially stunning!
Thanks a buch for checking these out and glad you liked them!
WOW! Beautiful photographs!
Thanks so much George, glad you enjoyed these flight shots!
You got an incredible angle in the first image, I feel…
So elegant that image is and timed to perfection 🙂
I’m so happy to hear you liked these, thank you!
Beautiful pictures. I wouldn’t be able to pick a favorite.
Thanks very much for you kind comments, I appreciate it. 🙂
The colours and backgrounds in these are just beautiful, Phil! All stunning but that BGH ……..!
Well you gotta love the old GBH! Thanks Maggie!
Now that’s a good weekend!!
It was mostly good, unfortunately the lazy eagles wouldn’t cooperate with a fly by.
Beautiful images and colors, what a great camera, or should I say photographer, the colors and nature are spectacular.
Thanks very much for looking and commenting and I’m very happy you enjoyed these shots!
I appreciate it Pat, thank you.
What a stunning capture! LOVE!
So glad to hear that, and I’m glad they were out there flying around for me to watch and photograph. 🙂
