Hardly Worth The Effort
This great blue heron was fishing in the salt marsh last week and was at it for a while with very little to show for it other then a small minnow or two.
Finally the heron decided to move over to another section and hopefully have better luck. But unfortunately he just ended up looking bored and disappointed in among a group of wood storks.
Oh well, maybe tomorrow will bring better fishing.
Bellissime, foto stupende!!
Ciao, Pat
When you have not had enough to eat it is hard to get council that there is always tomorrow.
Oh bless him! Kevin knows that feeling very well, except that, thankfully, we don’t depend on his fishing for our dinner!
Sorry, I forgot to add that I just love the contrast between the blue of the heron, the grey of the bank and the green of the grasses! What a terrific composition!
Great shots! I love the deep colors, and these are some of my favorite birds.
Lovely captures! We just visited Yellowstone where I saw the blue heron for the first time. They are beautiful:)
