I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
A young wood stork dropped in on some of his friends in the salt marsh on a recent afternoon.
Some friends; they didn’t seem to be at all impressed with Woody’s arrival. In fact they actually appeared more bored than usual…(if that’s possible)
Wonderful action shots, I love the unremarkable response by the group to this new visitor.
Thanks Charlie, it was funny how that pair in the front never moved a bit.
Well, that didn’t do much for Woody’s self-esteem!
Young Woodrow gets no respect out there.
Haha! 😊Love these guys!
Still can’t believe those front two never budged an inch. 🙂
Very nice,, Phi!l, Was down on Merritt Island about a month ago and saw a few, but couldn’t get a good shot because they all had their heads buried in the grass! Made several more trips in subsequent days but could not locate them.
They are not much to look at but they are interesting birds for sure.
poor Woody didn’t even get a welcome.
I know! Don’t his friends want him around?!?
Amazing moments of landing 🙂 Thank you dear Phil, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Love, nia
