I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
We had a nice steady breeze coming off the ocean along the salt marsh this afternoon, and this snowy egret seems to have caught a little back draft.
Of course snowys, being snowys, tend to be excitable even in calm conditions but either way this guy soon smoothed himself back down.
He looks a little “trumpish” in the first photo, lol. Great photos Phil!
Nothing like a quick blow dry of the hair LOL.
They always remind me of a ballerina in Swan Lake, when their feathers are all fluffed – such beautiful tracery.
Hi Phil, great Egret shots! Long time since we’ve connected and thought I’d say hello. Hope all is well with you.
Ha ha, it looks like my hair! I love him against the background. And especially his “fluff”!
Ha…I know the feeling well. Great shots, Phil. Happy New Year. 🙂
