The Alligators Are Waking Up
As the days start warming up our alligator friends have begun to wake up and become mildly active. We went over to the swamp area last week and found two taking some sun while a third positioned himself for a stroll over to the marsh pond. Mrs. Anhinga was also spotted enjoying some sun as well. Spring is on the way!

I laughed out loud at that gator trucking across the sidewalk. I’ve only spotted one on the move like that, crossing a road at a local refuge, but it was lazing along, so I was able to get some great photos. Happy spring, indeed!

Thanks very much for checking this out and I’m happy you enjoyed seeing our fresh spring crop of happy alligators! I laughed also because know exactly what you mean about them moving at a lazy pace. I actually took a phone video (which I wish I could post here) of that one walking, and he took over 40 seconds to cross that small path, moving sooooo slowly and almost comically. Happy Spring!

Lovely to see you back Maggie as well and thank you for visiting and commenting. Things have begun to really pick up over at the inlet including the pond and swamp area. A bald eagle has also been making appearances and I have eagle photos coming up here soon. Best to you and Lucy.
Don’t know if you’ve been following Liverpool but they sure aren’t having the season they had last year.
