Prospecting
Last week, while we were watching the pelicans battle the cormorants, the snowy egrets battle each other, and the alligators mostly sleeping in the sun, a bald eagle did an unexpected fly around. He didn't appear to be seriously hunting, more of an aerial check of the salt marsh to make sure everything was in order and while at it, keeping his eyes open for an opportunity to potentially strike gold!

Great photos! I almost never see a bald eagle, but I did see one fly over me a few months back, and it was a magnificent sight.

It’s funny, a couple months ago I had my motorcycle out and my wife was on the back. We were riding along the inlet road when we noticed a bald eagle was flying low right over our heads. It turned out to be one of those little, great to be alive moments.
