Morning In The Marsh

A snowy egret keeps a careful yet curious watch on a young alligator that comes floating by in the marsh pond. Meanwhile…a great egret seems unconcerned as a larger gator cruises along making it’s morning patrol of the area.

  No the alligators pretty much ignore the birds in situations like this, and apparently the birds can tell when a gator is not in bird hunting mode. If an alligator wanted to try to grab one of these birds it would likely approach in stealth mode under the water.

I’m loving my morning and evening walks with you in the marsh – a little frightening sometimes – wow, that gator eye was terrific – but it’s the birds I love to watch – their squabbles and their canoodling, just going about their business, catching fish, if they can. But yes, your BIF shots wow me most of all – beautiful, and oh, to be a bird 🙂
