Fishing In The Marsh…Part One
This is the same eagle from yesterday’s post.
Thursday afternoon we noticed this bald eagle sitting in a pine tree along side the salt marsh. The eagle was quite alert and appeared to be actively surveying the area in the direction of the marsh. The bald eagle’s legendary eyesight was on full display as it suddenly burst out of the tree and rapidly headed straight toward a spot in the water where it plucked out a fish. It obviously saw the fish even from a significant distance away and immediately went out to get it. The eagle then headed right back to the pine with it’s fresh catch safely secured in it’s talons.
What happened next after landing in the tree with the fish will be tomorrow’s post. So…stay tuned!

Absolutely stunning photo’s Phil.
Thank you Jan I always appreciate your very kind comments.
Thanks for getting these up Phil they are great but then again what else would they be? As it is almost lunch
time my coffee hour is over lol. Had my coffee today with Alyce.
I’m really glad you enjoyed these eagle photos, and thanks for checking them out!
I tried to get them up earlier in time for morning coffee but looks like it’s closer to lunch. 😀
[Programming my TiVo … ] Hey wait a minute! You’re not a network TV series — yer a BLOG! I look forward to the next episode. Episode One had great photography, a riveting plot, and made me hungry for dinner.
When the credits roll, will it include the line: “Animals were definitely harmed in the filming of this series”? 🙂
Yeah but the good part is that on the blog you don’t have to worry about zipping past the commercials! 🙂
I recommend getting comfy with some nice snacks and a your favorite beverage for part two.
And oh yes, there most definitely was an animal harmed on the making of this production. At least I’m pretty sure biting off the head counts as being harmed. 😯 😀
Thanks for checking these out!
WOW!
Thanks much Kate!
amazing bird and amazing photography!
Well I greatly appreciate you looking and your kind words Sally!
Amazing photographer! 😀 Loved all of these pics, and I can hardly wait for tomorrow’s installment. Only one more sleep. Yay! 😆
I’m thrilled you enjoyed thses photos Sylvia and as always I appreciate your very kind comments!
I was thinking though…I expect you will have a tough time sleeping and likely be tossing and turning all night in anticipation of tomorrow’s post. So what I’ll do is set up a timed post with one photo coming on each hour starting at around 2am. That way you will have something to do as you find yourself wide awake and prowling about the house all night like a restless panther. 😉 😀
Hehehe…… you know me too well, Phil. 😀
I see he’s back to calling you “Slyvia” again, too! 🙂
I had noticed, jimbey. I think I’ll just change my name to Slyvia, for the easiest. 😀
What are you two talking about? 😛
It’s PRIVATE! 😆
You two keep this up and I’ll post nothing but pictures of my cat for an entire week. That will fix ya good. 😀
You’d end up spelling it “feilne”, and get us started all over again. 😀
I’m all for cat pics Phil!
Such amazing shots! So beautiful.
I really appreciate you looking and commenting!
I’ve been enthralled since I started following you. Is there somewhere on your blog that gives background about where you take photographs?
I’m in the coastal South Carolina area and that’s where I take all the photos. 🙂

These are fantastic Phil ! Truly brings the meaning to keen as an eagle’s eye. Although that isn’t a very big fish he found. Hope he didn’t drop it!
Thank you very much Emily, so glad you enjoyed the eagle pics!
No he did not drop his snack, see today’s post for what became of the fish. 😀
