March Flights
In keeping with the tradition I started last summer of posting various bird flight photos for the month that had not otherwise been previously posted…here’s a group for March!
I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.

Nice! Isn’t it early for the spoonies?

Superb shots, but didn’t you just post the last flight series a few days ago. Time is just flying by at warp speed.

Time does indeed zip by for sure. The last ‘Flights of the Month’ post was on Feb. 28 to end up that month.
Thanks for looking and I’m glad you liked these pics!

I didn’t mean that literally, but it sure seems like just yesterday. Must be my age showing. 😳

I never saw a spoonbill in flight. That must be a treat. Beautiful photos as always, Phil.

I did like them. A bit scary in some images. Looks like dinner or even the spoonbill and baby gator. They seem like fearless birds too.

I’m not sure it’s so much that they are fearless, I sometimes think they are just kind of goofy. 🙂

Who knew I was a bird lover? Not me (mostly due because I had an old boss with three birds who drove the sane right out of me) until I started looking at your photos. The quality of your shots are fabulous – I especially love the bad eagle (Teddy too).

So glad to hear you and Teddy enjoyed these bird pics! Does Ted want to eat one? He probably should leave the eagle alone though. 🙂

I’m not sure if Ted wants to eat it per se but he definitely wants to play with it. I will definitely keep him away from the eagle – or at least try to. Damn curious cat! See what he does to birds, here:
