I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Earlier this week I was walking along the edge of the marsh pond when I saw our friend Mr. A strike at the water and come up with a good size fish. After a few crunches, the fish was down the hatch and he enjoyed a nice evening meal!ย
That is hands-free dining, right there! Great shots. (After seeing so many of your gator photos, looking at the critters no longer makes me cringe, and that’s a good thing, Phil. Thanks!)
Nice to know our pal Mr. A is starting to grow on you. I know he tries hard to win over new friends and sounds like he has a new one! ๐ Thanks very much Deb!
Is this a family blog, Phil? Might need a PG-13 for this. ๐ Yes, Mr. A is very satisfied with both the meal and himself, I’d say. Very nice behavioral shooting. Excuse me, Sir…would you care for a napkin. ๐
Missing the chips to go with his fish
That’s a good point, I bet he would enjoy some chips. But he is on his own for getting them. ๐
OK you win the best comment award to go with those amazing photos.
Glad you enjoyed these pics!
Nice Series. I wish German wildlife would be that big. Mr. Alligator is my favorite! ๐
Well I’m very happy to hear that you like our friend Mr. Alligator! Thanks!

Great Catch!…no pun intended ๐
I appreciate that very much Edith, thanks!
Loving that big grin he gave you!
He does have a self satisfied and proud sort of grin there at the end doesn’t he?! He is looking at me as if to say…”nice one huh?” ๐

Probably needed a *Gruesome Warning*
Mr. A looks like someone I saw at the All-You-Can-Eat buffet a while back. ๐

Oh, sรฌ lui era molto affamato. Sono felice ti รจ piaciuto le foto. ๐
I wonder what his burping sounds like ๐
Or worse…what it smells like.

Now that I have not experienced.
