Mr. Grumpy Meets His Match!
Well what do you know?! It turns out that not everyone in the marsh can be intimidated by our resident anti social cranky pink bird. Look who has decided he can be all quiet, mannerly, and reserved when around certain other individuals that he can’t push around! Suddenly it is a lot easier to behave when sharing a fishing spot with our pal Mr. A….What a surprise! 🙂

Haha!! that will teech him!! 🙂

Oh yes, he should have learned his lesson this time, but somehow I think maybe he didn’t. 🙂

Good for the Gator. Bullies need to get a taste of their own medicine every now and then.

Mr. Cranky did get put in his place this time. But something tells me he did not learn his lesson.

🙂 ! And then what happened ?
Yet another nice shot , Phil !

Well after that the alligator went on his way back to feeding and the spoonbill did the same. They just had a brief standoff that was quickly resolved.

As a roseate Spoonbill I would always be very careful. If Mr. A hat a bad mood … oh dear! 😛

Yes it is one thing for the spoonbill to be in a bad mood, but you do not want to be around a cranky Mr. A!

Bullies are usually the most cowardly when faced with their equals. Mr. A showed Pinkster just who is boss around there.

Oh he sure did, that stopped our pink chicken from acting like head of the marsh when we all know who that really is.

So then he probably had to find someone else to kick around or bite on the butt?
LikeLike
That is exactly what he did! Since he could not push around Mr. A he found a couple of youngsters who’s tails he could bite.

So he didn’t try to dunk the gator….hmm… taste of one’s own medicine seems to do the trick!

No he never did try that old carny game Dunk The Gator. Smart move on spoonies part but I doubt his attitude improved very much.

Oh yes. His decorum is so funny! 🙂

He does look so mannerly and reserved doesn’t he?! 🙂

Indeed, a real match for almost any creature.

Yes, Mr. A is at the top of the food chain out there and everybody knows it.

He might be a homicidal bully but at least he is a sensible homicidal bully, with a great sense of self-preservation!

He is just smart enough to know which fights to pick and which to walk away from. Walking this time was the prudent move.

Glad he got put in his place. I bet all the other Pink Birds had a laugh.

They probably did have a laugh about it, there were some nearby. But our cranky spoonie might go after the ones that make fun of him.

It’s always nice to see a little poetic justice.

You might think this would humble our pink friend a bit but likely not.

Wondered, when they would finally meet. Seems like, in the end, size DOES matter… (pun intended) ^^

Oh size is everything in Mr. A’s world and that translates down to our spoonie friend as well. He knows it’s best to walk away from a battle he can not possibly win.

Can’t blame him for that. I’d surely do the same….

Oh yes, me too. Mr. A can be an easy going guy at times but why push it? 🙂

Being in such close proximity to Mr A is enough to sober anyone up, even Mr Grumpy. Nice capture, Phil. 🙂

You are right Sylvia, I think that alligator snapped Mr. Grumpy back to reality fast. But…has he learned his lesson?! Doubtful. 🙂

Spoony seems to “behave” only reluctantly ; that reproachful look he throws Mr. A …

That’s exactly right, he would much prefer creating mayhem and possibly had thoughts of trying to chase off the alligator but wisely reconsidered. 🙂

I’m glad you said that, I try to present things that are hopefully a bit different and something most people have never seen and may never see. That’s half the fun in it!
