I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
We have had nothing but grey, gloomy weather for the past two days and this bald eagle seems to be about as grumpy as the rest of us about it.
Going to the outer banks to see the snowy owl
Thanks for looking Frank.
So what you’re saying is that the eagle was just reflecting the mood you were projecting:) I’d be smiling if I saw an eagle.
Well he does look kind of grumpy, most everyone is around here right now. We are so used to it being almost always a nice day that a couple lousy ones get everyone in a funk. Plus a couple minutes after I took this photo that eagle took off after another eagle, so he was acting a bit cranky.
You can’t blame him 🙂 wonderful image.
No I can’t blame him at all, especially since it’s almost always a nice day here practically to the point of monotony. 🙂
E’ proprio incavolata!!!!
Splendida foto Phil
Nope, not a happy camper at all it seems.
None of us are right now, nobody is happy here when it gets cold and rainy for a few days.
He really does look like he’s in a grump! Great picture Phil!
Yup, a bad mood for sure. Right after I took this photo he left his tree and took off after another that eagle that had the nerve to fly into his airspace.
“Who are you calling grumpy?!” 🙂
I didn’t to his face. 😯 Only later in the safety of my home. 🙂
Seems we’ve been stealing all the sun…. how very unusual for this time of year. I LOVE the eagle’s look, somehow seems fitting.
You must have the sun because we sure don’t, although it supposed to be back tomorrow. We are so used to it being almost always a nice day here that coupe bad one sour everyone’s mood.
That stare looks menacing. What did you do to deserve that? 😀
I thought I was being on my best behavior. Maybe he was not too sure about exactly what I was pointing at him. 🙂
He does look grumpy!!! Happy Thanksgiving Phil~!
He was in a cranky mood I believe and who could blame him, it was a gloomy day.
All is back to normal now though with plenty of bright sun yesterday and today. 🙂
What a grumpy old eagle, Phil. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Hope your weather improves soon. 🙂
Thank you very much Sylvia! Yes we are right back to normal here with bright sun these past two days. A bit more chilly then I would prefer but… what are ya gonna do? 🙂
Well of course he is. I am too. Come on sun! Happy Thanksgiving to you and the marsh friends. 🙂
Thanks a million for your very kind words Angelia! Well we are right back to normal here with bright sun these past two days so that’s the good news. A bit chilly so that’s the bad news, but I’ll still take it.
That is one hacked off eagle, Phil! I love the composition of this picture. Happy Thanksgiving to you both!
Oh he seemed to be a foul mood for sure Maggie, as were we all. But we are right back to normal here with bright sun these past two days so that’s the good part!
He does look POed.:):) Have good and safe Thanksgiving Phil!!!
Thank you very much Erv and I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Our weather here has greatly improved and we are right back to normal with bright sun these past two days so that’s good anyway. 🙂
Looks like he has you in his sights… or maybe your camera! But you lived to tell about it. Happy Thanksgiving.
I was very happy he stayed in his tree and only gave me the hard stare once or twice. 🙂
Thanks very much for looking and commenting Jeanne!
This eagle really does look like its in a terrible mood!
He did not seem happy at all and I can’t blame him. But we are right back to normal here with bright sun these past two days so all the wildlife should be feeling a bit more cheery. 🙂
Uuh, he’s really grumpy…
Oh he sure is! 🙂
I have a shot of an eagle sitting on what looks to be the same branch. Wonder if it’s the same one? Nice shots, by the way.
Thanks for checking it out!
