White Pelicans At Sunset
There was a small group of white pelicans hanging around in the marsh pond this afternoon doing their usual thing. I stayed to watch them until just prior to sunset, when these three came floating close to me lit by the warm setting sunlight.

This is the first year we ever had white pelicans not only show up, but show up in numbers and stay around! Never happened before.

Absolutely love the first photo, so quiet. The water looks like liquid metal and though the light is warm, I have a distinct feeling it was rather a cold day
