“Are You Going To Eat That All By Yourself?”
This afternoon a great blue heron plucked a fish out of the marsh pond then paraded it around in front of a hungry looking egret. But…the blue heron was not in the mood to share, and the poor egret was left to go catch his own fish or stay hungry.Β

Showoff!!!

He sure was! Which was mean too because I never did see the egret catch anything.

The egret should have gave him a poke.

There were chasing each other around for a while, I don’t think either was very happy with the other.

Oh absolutely not! That egret would not be getting any of the heron’s fish.

That bit of red on there makes me think he recently did catch and eat a fish of his own.

I’m sure that egret could taste that fish but unfortunately the heron wasn’t sharing.

I’ve been seeing what I believe is that same blue heron hanging around in that area for days but never catching anything. So I guess he finally gets a fish and wants the whole world to know about it.
