Sleeping Like A Baby

Yesterday afternoon our good pal Mr. A was out napping on a small island in the marsh pond. I know he would have preferred that there was more sun and less wind, but you have to admit, this big guy knows how make the best of any situation and manages to get quite comfortable!

  1. Phil I’ve been meaning to comment and say that I very much hope that you are feeling better now. It’s just rotten being ill and I’m very impressed that you’ve managed to keep photographing! Beautiful shots as always.

    • Thanks very much Lucy, I’m at maybe 70% right now, I have a ways to go to be back in top shape but I’m trying to keep at it.
I really appreciate your kind words and glad you enjoy the photos.

  2. He looks completely “flat” – about as flat as he can get anyway. Look at those forearms! 🙂 He’s getting the most of what he can out of this! Beautiful shot, with the more delicate grass decor as a mini-screen.

    • My favorite part is that hefty left, front leg folded back like a dog might do while sleeping.
I was in the area for over an hour and he barely moved the entire time. This guy knows how to relax.

  3. Such a tough life, but someone’s gotta do it! 🙄
Please continue improving. Life’s not much fun when you’re not firing on all cylinders.

  4. Aawwwwww, with the biggest grin no less, on his adorable, tranquil face! (Don’t you just want to pinch those cheeks?! – ikkk) Wonder what he’s dreaming about. This is precisely the nap we need from a tremendously busy but glorious Easter Weekend with all the events and celebrations. Thank you Phil and Mr. Alli for the reminder. 😀

    • I bet these big guys do dream, not sure about what, but this one definitely knows how to relax and take things easy.
We all should be able to sleep so well right?!? 🙂
I would like to give him a little scritch between the ears (if I could find them) but probably best to just let him sleep.
