I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
On a recent evening this fish blows out one last drop of water after being plucked out of the marsh by a great blue heron.
So it goes in nature…one creature’s life comes to an end to help ensure the survival of another.

Great shot!

I was concerned when posting this that once again I would be subjecting you to more sad fishie faces. Between that and alligator fights it’s been a tough week out there at the marsh. 🙂

Certainly does look that way, Phil. My heart is becoming hardened towards those poor fishies. 😳

Those poor fish do seem to meet their untimely demise quite often don’t they?!

Hey I’m happy you enjoyed this GBH photo!
Well… no I have the cardiologist involved and am starting on a heart monitor today. It seems never ending but I’m hanging in.
Oh, and the cat is sick now. Heading to the vet shortly. Like I said, it never ends.

Oh dear, – I’m so sorry, Phil. I hope the monitoring did some good for you. How’s the cat now?
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it soon turns for the better. Hang on in there!

The stupid monitor hasn’t even shown up in the mail yet. Probably just as well as my stress level is through the roof trying to help the cat get over her eye surgery from yesterday. They managed to save her eye but recovery will not be easy. Of well it’s always something.

I’m absolutely amazed to read that heart monitors are forwarded per post! Hope you’ll all get over the eye surgery pretty soon. You have had your fair share of almost everything now. Get well soon!

Just found out today there was a screw up and they never sent it! Now I won’t have it until next week. Unreal.

Thea is quite wise and of course quite correct. Even scenes which we may find uncomfortable, and still a part of nature. I bet she would love our fun, happy alligators! 🙂
