I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
There was a good size group at the marsh pond early this morning just after sunrise. It’s mostly great and snowy egrets but I did spot a tricolored and little blue heron tucked into the crowd as well!
What? and no squabbles, or arguments breaking out. How can this be with so many egrets?
It can’t be. Well, it shouldn’t be. Don’t know what got into those birds, getting along like that. Sheer craziness.
😀
Just beautiful…great contrast and reflections
Thanks, glad you liked seeing the morning crowd.
I agree with acuriousgal. Love the contrast and reflections. Great capture, Phil 🙂
I appreciate it Amy, thank you.
The contrast and reflections make it very special.
Well I’m very happy you enjoyed the photo, thanks!
Was this a 4th of July family reunion? That’s quite an assemblage of big wading birds,
I think it was a family reunion for the 4th! Off to the side and not pictured, were the coolers and grill. 🙂
Must of been a family get together….its great you live near such nature!!!
It sure seemed to be a family get together, but again, where was the squabbling?!? 🙂
The reflections are beautiful, Phil! Good to see them all playing nicely!
It’s always amazing, interesting, and confusing how they decide to get along at a time like this when other times it’s impossible. 🙂
That’s quite a breakfast party, Phil. Those fishies had better watch their backs. 😯
Fishies are in BIG trouble Sylvia! They were the featured item on the breakfast buffet!
That’s a really nice banner — they all look busy, yet calm. Love the little blue guy!
Perfect description, they are busy yet calm. 🙂
That’s a fine looking crowd!
It’s a better looking crowd then some of the people that show up I can tell you that. 🙂
🙂
