Two Leave…Two Stay
Two juvie spoonbills jump off and leave the salt marsh earlier this week, while two adult spoonies remain behind to watch the departure.

We have seen the injured spoonbill and he seems to be doing fine, the wounds appear to be healing nicely.
I love your photos of life in the marsh, I really enjoy following the storyline.

Spectacular lift offs, Phil. The two ‘left behinds’ look a bit envious that their friends are going off on vacation. 🙂
They do look a bit forlorn over being left behind, but maybe they think there is still tasty fish and shrimp to be had so no need to rush off early. 🙂
