I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
A spoonbill feeding in the salt marsh this morning had a curious observer tagging along for a short while.
The spoonie just continued on about his business and the alligator soon got bored and floated off to find something more interesting.

Immer wieder faszinierend deine Fotos ❤ Mathilda

Always wonder how the spoonbill seems to know the gator isn’t hungry!

If the birds see an alligator casually floating along like that the birds seem to know the gator is not out for a meal of bird. It’s when the gator goes into stealth mode and starts hunting while under the water the birds can be in trouble. Yikes!

Oooo I’m gonna tell him you said he was creepy! Of course he already knows it, and in fact works on it. 🙂

Gator, spoonbill – that photo has all the perfect elements … except flowers.

If only I was better at Photoshop, then there could be flowers in there. Maybe someday…

Mr. A does look interested though … just a bit. The spoony must have known it was ok to be there. As he is definitely business as usual!
