I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Thanks for looking! We would consider the white pelicans to be fairly uncommon here but like you we see the brown ones year round. I watched several of those the past few days and they maybe today’s post. 🙂
Oh how I adore Pelicans. Just beautiful.
They are pretty cool birds. Big too.
There is something quite majestic about them, Phil!
In the U.S. only the California Condor has a larger wing span then the white pelican. These guys are good sized for sure.
They are so great, and you have great shots of them!!! Thanks Phil!
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the white pelicans Linda!
Stunning captures.
Thanks so much. 🙂
Wonderful detail!
They are big birds with a big wing span!
They really are Phil! Great to get a good look at those extraordinary wings 🙂
First loons, now white pelicans? it’s just not fair !!
If we ever get a winter visit from a spoonbill you will really know how crazy life can be! 🙂
Lovely ‘in flight’ shots. Whites are rare on Abaco, but we do have browns to keep us entertained! RH
