Pelicans And Ducks
There was a group of white pelicans fishing in the marsh near the beach this afternoon, but they had to share the area with several species of ducks that were also floating around enjoying their day.
The pelicans are huge birds and take up a lot of space so sometimes the ducks need to get out of the way and often in a hurry.

What an incredible armada!

They can also swim incredibly fast considering they are big birds!

Wow, never saw so many pelicans together, in one shot and with ducks!!!!, not even in Florida on the ocean, or in the canals in the winter, these are wonderful shots, thanks Phil.

So many pelicans, Phil! I was really excited this morning, to see only two on our lake. 🙂

Sylvia do you have the white ones or the brown ones or both? We see the brown pelicans pretty much year round but the white guys only occasionally which is why I keep posting them. 🙂

These are wonderful – I love the surprise of the last two images of ducks swimming in the opposite direction ;-D versus the first birds flying WITH the Pelicans!
