The Great Fluff Up Continues!
The competition for fluffiest marsh bird continues on with yet another snowy egret putting on a fancy display.
The great blue heron from yesterday was a fierce competitor but little snowball is rapidly closing in on winning the title.
Too bad we didn’t have an alligator out there to judge the event, that would really raise the stakes!
E’ talmente buffo che quasi mi viene da dire che è pure bruttino ahahaha
Ottimi scatti, sono divertenti e belli!!
Ciao, Pat
Sono felice che si sono divertiti vedendo queste foto Pat!
You can never have enough fluff!
Oh exactly! 🙂
so lovely!
Glad you liked the fluff ups!
That’s so amazing, Phil. I’ve never seen them do that here. 🙂
There were a few snowys in a group and all were acting a bit odd. Maybe those breeding season hormones have them a bit roused up. 🙂
Looks like a really bad hair day to me.
Add in some wind gusts and it’s brutal on the hair.
That is the cool part of photography. You captured something that existed for an instant and preserved that moment. Great shot.
I appreciate that very much Jeff and I’m very happy you enjoyed seeing the fluffed up snowys.
Awesome shots Phil! Love the action captured and great exposure work on the white bird.
Thanks a million for checking these out and glad you liked them!
Such beautiful pictures, Phil! I love the delicate tracery of those feathers! Who would believe they could be such naughty birds at times!
The snowys are extremely active little guys and always seem to be up to something! 🙂
Such lovely and beautiful shots, fine feathered friends!
Thanks a bunch Linda I’m glad you liked the fluffy snowys.
Super fluff! I love him! Got such a chuckle out of his antics. 🙂
It sure was entertaining I can tell you. I had to remember to take pictures because it was fun just watching them.
Fun photos. Great captures. These have certainly brightened up my morning.
I’m glad these fluffy guys gave you a smile. 🙂
Phil, I have just loved these fluffed up posts! Cute and hilarious all at once 🙂
Thanks so much and that’s what we were saying too! They are cute but hysterical! Too funny
Really great captures! So great to all aspects of these birds and their behaviour through your lens 🙂
Cool shots of the action. Looks like your snowy is already getting mating colors with that almost pink beak.
Yes they are likely a ways behind your area birds coming into breeding colors. We are just starting to see some GBHs with blue lores and egrets with green.
Where’s the ballet tonight? The tutu is fluffed and ready for the dance.
Wonderful shots!
