I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
A brown pelican, from earlier this week, skis into the salt marsh almost making the water look like slushy snow. With those big pelican feet, they probably would make very good water or snow skiers.

Gteat shot Phil!

Does look like ice. I guess I was not too far off last post. They still must be pleased it is warm waters. Nice image to make one wonder.

This scene is so much more tropical than where I’ve been lately. Fantastic capture in such motion.

We are expecting a real warm up too! Wonder if we will get a surprise spoonbill visit like last April?

Are ice days are gone until next winter. Although… we *could* get one last frost on Sat. night after close to record breaking warm up on Thur. Crazy here!

What great detail! Really does look exactly like slushy snow, having skied a LOT of it! 🙂 He’s quite the guy.
