I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
There is that certain look an alligator can get that makes you glad he is not coming after you…
And he looks so hungry. Great shots.
He does look rather hungry doesn’t he? Bad news for our little friends in the sea.
Looks like a sly smirk
They almost always look like they are up to something. Must just be my imagination.
They have that look to me. Like being sly.
Oh he’s an expert at being sly.
Agreed – he looks like he is up to no good! A very nice close up:)
As far as the fish out there are concerned he is definitely up to no good.
Haha!! Great shots, Phil. Are you sure he’s not just smiling broadly at you ?? 😀
I hope he is smiling at me, sure beats the alternative. 🙂
yup are u???
Thanks for looking.
That smile just doesn’t reach the eye, does it?
As long as he is happy that’s good news for everybody. Well… except for the fish and crabs.
Seems odd but I think he’s beautiful.
In many ways they are magnificent animals and I’ve grown rather fond of them.
I love how you make alligators look cute to me.
I’ll be sure to pass along your compliment. He will be thrilled you think he is cute.
No wait, maybe he won’t. Better I tell him you thought he looked mean, he might appreciate that more.
he’s just a pussycat. LOL.
He wants to keep his reputation as he’s top predator in his habitat.
That’s exactly it, he is just a big baby. (don’t tell him I said that) 🙂
Maybe he has more of a taste for metal:
Obviously, these guys have a little bit of an attitude when confronted by an idiot. Great shots in some nice light, Phil.
It’s funny what can suddenly attract and set one of these guys off. They can appear docile, then suddenly ya never know….
Thanks, I can usually count on some kind of action when one of these guys goes over to the salt side.
