Light Breakfast
I spotted this GBH spiffing himself up in the marsh this morning and thought maybe he already had breakfast and was doing a little after meal clean up.
But he quickly went right back at it, and about two minutes later had snagged a light continental breakfast. Our little fishie friend, however, did not seem at all pleased with how his morning was going.
Scatti super fantastici. Meravigliosi!!
Ciao, Pat
Grazie Pat! 🙂
Some of the best wildlife photography on the internet…I enjoyed the whole series.
Hey thanks a million Charlie, appreciate it!
Does the fish look scared or is it only me? Great series.
Oh that fish does not look at all happy and is having a very bad day.
That’s a beauty – love the splash.
Thanks for checking this out. Funny how fast the splash happens and you don’t really think about it or notice it much until looking at it later in pictures.
These are such fun photos.
So glad you enjoyed them. 🙂
He sure has a determined look!
This is his main fishing spot and he has gotten very good at it out there!
Brilliant pictures Phil! The expressions on the faces of both fish and heron are incredible!
I also liked the shocked look on the fish and determined look of the heron. Thanks Maggie!
Your pictures have such beautiful quality and clarity, love the splash and the droplets and ofcourse the heron, what kind of camera do you use??? or lens, if you care to share that with me, I’ve been trying to get that kind of quality and sharpness with all different types of lens and cameras, and still cant seem to get it, and its been years…!!!!! Thanks Phil
Thanks a bunch for the kind words Linda, I appreciate it.
I now use a Canon 7D MK II and prior to that the regular original 7D.
I mostly use a Canon 300 f4 often with a 1.4 extender attached.
A really super series!! The light is ideal and the action is ‘gripping’!!
Hey thanks for checking these out and glad you liked seeing the heron at work!
Great splash shots!
Glad you enjoyed “Splash” the heron!
