I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
I was watching Undercover boss Canada on one of our digital channels here in Australia and they briefly showed a lake I saw a bird that looked like an Anhinga.
It could have been, and from what I understand they are more commonly referred to as “darters” in Australia.
Another fun fact… the anhinga is one of the only birds whose common name is the same as their scientific name.
Anhinga, anhinga
Nice captures
Thanks glad you liked seeing the anhinga in action.
Noooooo!! šÆ
Uh oh. Yes indeed, yet another of our finny friends on his way to that great pond in the sky. It’s a tough marsh out there. š
That fish probably sees his friends inside the Anhinga’s Tummy.
Oh no! Now that is a disturbing thought for sure! š
