I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Earlier this week an egret flies off with a fish it just plucked out of the water.
Magnifico scatto caro Phil. Stupendo!!
Grazie, sono felice ti è piaciuto questa foto!
Beautiful spread of the wings, capturing sunlight
Thanks a bunch, glad you liked it!
Excellent capture, Phil!
I’m so happy you enjoyed it, thank you!
I’ve just been watching David Attenbrough’s new series all the different birdlife and animal life, haven’t seen any Anhingas yet.
Oh wow, I hope they cover anhingas, they are such fun! 🙂
Plus the anhinga is one of the only birds who’s common name is the same as their scientific name.
Perfectly positioned to hold his catch. Those wings are beautiful!
He wanted his fish and wasn’t going to let the big blue heron take it either. 🙂
The lighting and background are brilliant, Phil!
Thanks Maggie, glad you enjoyed this egret flight!
