Squeaky

This afternoon we had a loud squeaky visitor at the salt marsh. A belted kingfisher flew in, landed on a stump for about two seconds then took off again.

These tiny, fast birds continue to mock me and drive me crazy with their sarcastically squeaky voices which can be heard from a considerable distance.

Also last night my computer monitor cashed in it’s chips and I’m currently working (well trying to) on a back up monitor which as best as I can tell is from 1986. I can’t tell how anything looks on this thing.

Saw a lot of bird action this afternoon too. The spoonies were out, GBH’s were flying all over as were wood storks, but I’m not really sure how any of it looks.

I’m flying blind out here right now.

    • Thanks and the plot thickens… I tried a new power cord and connector cable and the monitor seemed to begin acting normally again. But then, just for laughs I ran a security scan and that found a Trojan infecting my system! Could that have been the problem all along?!? Got it removed in any case.

    • These squeaky little guys are a real pain and it doesn’t help that they seem to make fun of me when they hover always just out of reach.
So here’s the update on the monitor… I tried a new power cord and connector cable and the monitor seemed to begin acting normally again. • Oh those little birds are annoying! They really seem to enjoy making fun of me from a distance. Plus I always here that squeaky little voice before I even see the bird. 😡

The fun never stops around here.

      • Yes, I love the sound of the kingfishers make – a dead giveaway of their whereabouts. Good luck with the computer staying ‘normal’. I’ve been using a Mac for 2 years now and never even think about viruses anymore.

  1. What a cute little fellow! Great pictures Phil! You have my sympathy with the monitor – someone tried to hack me the other evening. Luckily, Thea’s dad is a forensic data retrieval specialist, so I rang him in a hurry and he got me out of trouble! A great man to have in the family!

    • They are cute for sure but they drive me nuts too! 🙂
Well I was shocked to discover a Trojan. Injector virus had got through to my system. I have two top live AV programs always running simultaneously and still something got through.
We also have a computer expert on call and needed him once to remove and clean my hard drive, nice you have one in the family! This one today I dealt with myself but I’m not at all happy about it.
