“I’m Coming, I’m Coming!”
A great blue heron heard his friend calling from the other side of the salt marsh this afternoon and rushed over to see what was going on.
Turns out there were three egrets that had dared to enter ‘their’ territory to do a little fishing. Also turned out that it wasn’t really worth chasing them off so the whole fuss was all for nothing.
Oh well, just another day in the marsh…
Ha ha!! A fitting title, Phil!!
That would have been disappointing for him.
Exquisite photo!
Hi, Phil! Your blog’s always been interesting, but I sort of drifted off. Now, with a brand new Canon DSLR and a couple of lenses (including a telephoto) I’m suddenly interested again in your subjects! I’ve already found a couple of creatures I’ve never seen, including a pied-bill grebe, and I’m really thankful for your archive as well as your current offerings. I just spent a wonderful hour browsing — to paraphrase the old saying, “So many birds, so little time!”
Thea’s comment “That’s what’s known as a blue funk”! UK comment for “In a strop”! Appropriate for the GBH
