Well That One Must Have Tickled
Yesterday afternoon a great blue heron plucked himself a nice fish snack out of the salt marsh, but right after swallowing his treat he got all fluffed up.
I expect that fish was still wriggling on the way down and likely tickled a bit.
Oh well, it still counts and since the fishing didn’t look too great out there, I’m sure the heron was happy to have snagged even a tickler!
I wonder if the fish is still wiggling around in there.
Oh I expect that fish is most definitely still wriggling around in there. I bet it takes a while to, well, you know.
I hope it didn’t cause the Heron any discomfit, I’m allergic to fish I get nauseous if I have fish so I don’t have much sympathy for them.
What wonderful pictures, Phil, especially the last one! I love the expression on his face!
These birds have a lot of character and often a lot to say. But I don’t think this boy would be talking for a little while anyway. 🙂
Fabulous captures, Phil, except for the poor fishy eyes. 😕
I knew that one was going to sting a bit Sylvia, but I appreciate you looking anyway. Thanks! 🙂
I forgive you. 😓
Thank you for your kindness and support and I promise this will be the last sad little fishy face…

Nice images Phil, I share a similar background with you PJ & Sports. You are an inspiration for me as far as nature photography goes. I just found this link in a photo group. Nice work.
