Afternoon Spoonbills in the Marsh
We had several Roseate Spoonbills show up in the marsh yesterday afternoon.
As is often the case, they were once again following along a flock of close to one hundred Wood Storks.
It’s always fun when our pink friends come to visit and brighten up the our day!
Stunning shots, Phil. I love to see Spoonbills and yours are spectacular. Great to see you again. Happy Fall. π
Thanks a million Sylvia, so glad you enjoyed seeing our pink friends!
Hope all is well. π
Iβm trying to get my head around a hundred or more wood storks in one place. π
I just sent a phone pic showing a bit more of an overall view to an email address I had for you. Hope it goes through. π
Thank you so much. π
Always
Great to see your wonderful photos again Phil!

Great shots….I love spoonbills
The funny thing about spoonbills is I can’t stop watching and taking pictures of them. They are great fun!
Gorgeous!!!!
Glad you liked them Ray!
Glorious pictures, Phil! Those colours are stunning! So glad to know you and Alyce are ok, I was very concerned about the effects of the last hurricane to blow through your way. All best wishes to you both!
Hi Maggie. Thanks so much for looking and replying to these spoonie pics and glad you liked them.
I did get your very kind and thoughtful email as the hurricane was approaching, it was greatly appreciated.
Long story short about the hurricane…we emerged mostly unscathed from that. We never did evacuate.
No major home damage, no flooding, no down trees out back, and we never lost power. But so much has happened since then unrelated to the storm. I’ll get a reply to your email out soon.
Its so great when i receive your photography you have no idea! Where im living presently would u believe there is no nature at all! What was supposed to be temporary for me to get back to the place of nature (which is oretty much all the places ive lived from nyc to fla there was always nature even in Manhattan u would not believe but where i am right now only has once in while squirrels which even they are rare (no im not in jail…lol) but maybe because its too industrial here and has tons of noise. Pls keep sending your beautiful ohotography it keeps reminding me to get out of here and
