Who Likes A Rainy Day?
Well it turns out that our pal Mr. A loves a rainy day! The falling rain water we got this afternoon will freshen up his pond and make swimming around so much more pleasant. You can even tell by these photos… In the first two when he was coming over to greet me, he looks a little grumpy. But then 10 minutes later when it started to rain you can see how happy he looks gliding along as the rain drops fall around him! 🙂
He’d probably love Oregon. Though we hardly get any rain in the summer, the winter sure makes up for it.
Do you stuff to eat there that he would like? I think he pays a lot of attention to his meals.
It’s a gator’s life!
Especially this guy. He is a big boy and definitely head gator in charge of the marsh pond. (well until someone bigger comes along)
Fantastic, love the first one it really looks like the big fellow is coming to get you.
He was coming toward me at a pretty good clip, but then veered off and headed back out to the middle of the pond.
oh were you a bit worried about that, everyone gets grumpy on a rainy day.
I absolutely love the first image. He’s heading straight for you.
Yeah he was coming straight in full speed ahead. Wonder what was the rush? 🙂
heard you were there and wanted his picture taken
Great photos – not sure I see “happy”. Could just be me 🙂
You have to look verrrrry closely to see that happy face. 😀
Not sure he was happy… I like the last one 🙂
Oh he was plenty happy. He spent most of the morning eating so a full belly and a nice pond to swim in makes for a happy boy. 😀
Or by the expression on his face was it the other way around?
You have to look for the subtle differences. 😀
Good one, Phil. Love him in black and white. Nice!
Glad you enjoyed these Jane. Saw you noticed they were technically in color but not much color with a black alligator and grey skies. 🙂
PS– just looked again… they are color! The day is black and white 🙂
Absolutely correct! By mid afternoon the dark grey skies turned everything out there monochrome. Except maybe the spoonies, you could still see a dash of pink on them. 🙂
He is just like me rejoycing at the sight of rain :D. Loving all three pics. It is very cool to see him swimming under falling rain.
Well still raining steady here right now and I’m betting the alligators are even more happy as their pond and the swamp get refreshed. Me? I’m not so happy cause I’m kinda stuck inside and am unable to see what they are all up to.
Great shots Phil, even on a rainy day.
Thanks Jan. Worse today. I’m stuck inside with more rain.
the distance disappears between us Mr.Alligator 🙂 makes me afraid sometimes…
Great shots, Thanks and Love, nia
Thank you very much for looking at these photos of our alligator friend Nia!
Poor fellow, he even looks sad in the first two photo’s. In the rain-photo, the twinkle in his eye could mean bad news for someone. 🙂 PS : Wonderful as usual, Phil ! Still, I think you’re far too close for your own health 😉 Enjoy the rain, Patricia
He does look a bit distressed in those first two doesn’t he?! He was in a fairly decent mood though in terms of allowing me to get in close without giving me hard time. 🙂 More rain today which I’m not enjoying so much though.
He just want to take a shower! Why should only people like we have this pleasure? 😛
Oh he loves a nice shower! 😀
Butch or Sundance? 🙂
Great face shots, Phil.
He does have a very distinguished look doesn’t he Steve?! 🙂
I think he’d love HK. I think it might as well rain until September.
Fairly odd for us to get much rain. It’s almost always a nice day here practically to the point of monotony.
Good weather for alligators and ducks.
Love this guy. I like how he comes to check you out!
He must have missed me, from the high speed swim he seemed in a big hurry to check me out. 😀
Coming from the most rainy city in Norway, I’m glad to say that I love a rainy day or five…😄
It is almost always a pleasant sunny day here practically to the point of monotony so I’m fine with the occasional rainy day. 🙂
☔
Hee hee thanks 🙂
