“What?! It’s You Again?!?”
One day last week I saw this bald eagle come gliding in toward me from out across the salt marsh. He took a glance down toward me and I’m not going to say he looked annoyed to be seeing me yet again down there pointing something up at him but…I was happy when he just continued on his way without giving me so much as a second look, or likely a second thought.

Sapeva che li avresti fatto uno splendido ritratto con i tuoi scatti e allora è passata, era questo il motivo 🙂
Ciao, Pat

I mostly have the alligators on my side now I just need the eagles in my corner. Hope I can do it. 🙂

It’s a real good thing eagles don’t generally attack people or they could cause some real damage. Beautiful shots.

You can be sure he is on the lookout for an osprey, no doubt about it.

That’s actually a good question Paula, and no I have never had the ‘pleasure’. 🙂 But trust me there have been times when several birds are flying directly overhead and I duck for cover.
Thanks for checking these out.

Thanks much Gracie and yes you can’t miss an eagle flying over head. Plus they will often scatter smaller birds that are in the water or marsh area so if I see a bunch birds suddenly take off in 50 different directions, I look for the eagle.

Just splendid. One of the things I always enjoy with these birds is the way they fine tune their wingtips. Such fine control.
I’ve been seeing a few birds I think are eagles – not bald eagles, another species we call “Mexican eagles”. I’m sure that’s not their real name. Let me go look… OK. I don’t think what I’m seeing is an eagle at all. I think it’s the Crested Caracara. It’s shown as year-round in a good part of Texas, down into Mexico, so that would explain a common name of “Mexican eagle”.

Thank you much I’m happy you liked seeing the eagle, and yes they have impressive wings for sure.
I would love to see a caracara some day, they are amazing birds.

You are just too meaty for him. He likes a challenge. 🙂

I’m very happy he was not interested in me one way or another. Bald eagles can be a bit nasty (not really the ones we commonly see) and some have been known to harass people who were just minding their own business. 🙂

Oh he probably gave you a thought and said “Nah, not today anyway.” 😉 I’m not sure a human would escape his divebombing! Scary! Strong and majestic bird — you’ve captured his essence in flight. His ailerons (have no idea the correct term) are awesome!
