A New Addition To The Team!
Some of you will remember seeing the egret and blue heron from last week performing their synchronized flying maneuvers in the salt marsh.
Well we now have two new members of the squad. These brown pelicans recently auditioned and after displaying their technical flying expertise they were immediately asked to join the team and will soon be heading out on the tour!
Be careful they we be soon enough to make a ballet 😉
Have a nice sunday
They are working on a ballet for next season. I can’t wait, I’m sure it will be excellent!
Thank you Sophie and enjoy your Sunday.
That is remarkable. I wonder if they are aware of the symmetry.
Maybe the second one is drafting on the lead pelican? 🙂 Especially if he has been watching a lot of NASCAR.
I got such a kick out of these guys! What unison! 🙂
They are quite nice flyers, but not so elegant when diving for fish. 🙂
Here’s the question do you pay appearance money 😀
I get 10% of the gate. Not a bad deal considering they do all the work.
Wow! Amazing! What more can I say? 😉
Well hey thanks! I appreciate it!
Fenomenale, sono fantastici e lo è anche il tuo scatto!!
Grazie mille Pat! Sono contento ti è piaciuto i pellicani!
Absolutely wonderful. So glad to see your pictures.
I really appreciate that thank you!
Love the new stars of the show!
They are show offs, but they are also quite excellent flyers so they should show off their skills. 🙂
Well! What a perfect sync and what a perfect capture of it, Phil. I love it… And brown pelicans too.
Thanks a million! I truly appreciate your kind comments and glad you enjoy seeing the pelicans!
They make a perfect pair. Give them a 10. Nice catch there Phil, you always have perfect timing.
They are indeed very good flyers. Thanks for the kind words but the birds do all the work I just snap off a few quick pics. 🙂
I think they’ve been practising….a lot. 🙂 You’d better sign them up quick before they join the Air Force. Great capture, Phil.
There is an old air force base just south of the Myrtle Beach Airport, I wonder if that’s where they originated? 😀
😆
Perfect timing… beautiful image 🙂
Well thanks very much I’m happy you enjoyed this pelican photo!
oh yes!! great timing, great photo!!
Thanks much for looking and commenting, I appreciate it!
Amazing BIF shot.
Glad you enjoyed this pelican flight Jan.
OMG.. what a masterful display!
It is fun and interesting how the pelicans will often form up into nice tight groups or even in this case, pairs.
Over here in the UK we have a formation flying team called The Red Arrows… I reckon these guys should apply to join!
