I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
A white ibis is on an early morning mission as it jets across the salt marsh against a clear, bright blue sky.
That morning talk guy never looked so good.
Great image, Phil.
That’s so funny you remember when he had a radio show with that name! Going back a few years I’m thinking. 🙂
Perfect flight shot!
Thanks very much. I’m not usually a huge fan of open blue sky flights but this time it matched his eyes. 🙂
You’re making him look pretty darn good.
It’s tough for these birds to look anything but comical with that big goofy curved bill. But they are interesting anyway.
Very beautiful, Phil. I doubt one would very get off tack and fly here.
These birds do get around, keep your eyes open. 🙂
Such graceful form until you get to the funny looking snout.
Shhhh… you’re not supposed to let him know he has a funny looking snout. They tend to be a bit sensitive about it.
Oh how beautiful…you take such great shots, at just the right moment!
I’m very happy you liked this ibis, thanks!
Gave me a laugh. Actually, my husband listens to Imus in the Morning every day while in Florida. Airs in NY. As always, a great photo.
I didn’t realize he still had a radio show. I remember him in NYC in the 80s.
Glad you enjoyed seeing the ibis!
Another 5 star shot, Phil!
I appreciate that Amy, thank you!
Very streamlined and perfect detail, Phil!
I’m very happy you enjoyed seeing this ibis fly by Maggie!
You’re right; perfect eye match! 🙂 Looks gorgeous!
A really breathtaking shot, Phil.
Such clear blue sky is a perfect canvas.
How do you do it? Coming up with a better shot every time? 😀
