I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Earlier this week, an alligator slowly floats through the reflection of a snowy egret fishing in the background. The snowy is there waiting and hoping the gator will send some fleeing fish in his direction…
I love this photo for what it shows . . . and what it doesn’t. Nice!
Thanks much Deb, and good point, I like your interpretation!
Wow wonderful pic Phil, amazing !!!!!
Have a nice day
Thank you very much Sophie!
Che foto stupenda Phil, veramente eccezionale!!
Grazie Pat! 🙂
Clever shot, Phil.
Thanks for looking and commenting Jane.
Super shot, Phil! Looks like the gator activity is picking up! I will be down at the park this weekend for memorial day, will ya’ll be there?
Hey Gareth, good hearing from you and thanks for checking out this gator pic!
Yes they have been getting more active lately, but oddly, not too much bird action.
We will be around this weekend and look forward to seeing you.
Your timing is perfect. Loved it. Poor gator is thinking these reflections don’t taste like anything.
The gator is skunked again! No chicken, fish only.
Quite the amazing composition here.
I’m happy you enjoyed this shot!
This is such a clever, unusual shot, Phil! I love the detail!
I try hard to present the unusual when I can. Thank you for recognizing that Maggie!
Such a clear image ! Bravo Phil !
I greatly appreciate the kind words, thanks!
What an incredible image, Phil. I’m speechless. 😀
I greatly appreciate the kind words Sylvia, thanks!
Ah, we see both without actually “seeing” Mr. Snowy! GREAT photo. That water is like glass — likely to be disturbed really fast when a snack is spotted! Mr. A’s texture is really front and center against the smooth water. 🙂
Our alligator pal is ready and poised for action! If he sees something, he GOES for it!
Glad you enjoyed this photo!
Exquisite photo! Just when I think you will never be able to top my new favorite photo you blow me away with a picture like this… Thanks.
Well I appreciate your kind comments tremendously, thank you!
