I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Youngsters often need a little extra sleep and this juvenile brown pelican looks rather perturbed that I was interfering with his nap time!
Great look and the eye is really quite nice. Love the little punk featherdo.
Thanks Steve and yes I like that little top feather too.
Looks like he needs it, Phil – or are the red eyes normal?
He does look a little blood shot in the eyes. Must have had a rough night. 🙂
Beautiful close up and details!
Thanks much for checking it out!
So very lovely! Thanks, Phil!
Thanks a bunch Amy, I appreciate you looking and commenting.
What a precious little guy. Hope he got his nap after his photo shoot.
I felt bad for waking him up, but he seemed ultimately OK with my brief intrusion.
Stunning photo, Phil. Wonderful.
I’m very happy you enjoyed this Andrew, thanks!
What a sweetheart! And a brilliant picture, Phil!
They are sort of cute in their own little way Maggie. 🙂
He looks sad poor guy. Loving the detail and his expression.
He is probably tired of some guy (me) coming along and shoving a lens in his face when he is trying to get some sleep. 🙂
He’s so cute, Phil, but he does look tired out. 🙂
He is kind of cute but possibly fought a stiff headwind over the ocean and now just wants to relax. 🙂
Lo hai disturbato, ti guarda scocciato ahahaha
Splendido scatto Phil, eccezionale!
Sono felice ti è piaciuto questa foto Pat! 🙂
Great shot though disturb my sleep and you’d get a much more interesting photo!
My neighbor’s barking dog that woke me early this morning likely would have produced some interesting images.
I was in a worse mood then this young pelican, plus it’s probably easier for him to get right back to sleep. Lucky guy.
Glad you liked this shot!
This one made me giggle :). I love it!
