I previously worked as a news and sports photographer. Recently I have been enjoying wildlife photography. My approach toward bird photos is similar to sports photography. I attempt to capture mostly action and hopefully a unique perspective.
Yesterday evening we were watching this great blue heron that seemed delighted with his pre-dinner appetizer of shrimp plucked right out of the salt marsh.
He really does look very pleased with his shrimp snack and I suspect I would be too, it did look tasty. Of course I prefer mine more on the cooked side but hey everybody has their preferences. 🙂
I am always astonished by the photos you take in the marsh…The detail and the expression, the way you use the available lighting is so superb.
I greatly appreciate your very kind comments Charlie thanks very much!
Love your pics
I appreciate that very much, thank you!
I especially like the heron’s expression in the last shot–it seems to be smiling in anticipation of the tasty morsel–definitely a happy heron.
He sure did seem to be happy with his shrimp snack! I think I would be too!
Great shots!
I’m very happy you enjoyed seeing this GBH with his shrimp snack!
He certainly does look very pleased with himself. Nice shots, Phil. 🙂
